I am a SRA, 1A851 and my enlistment ends in about 10 months. I would like to crosstrain and renenlist into SERE, but have some questions regarding the Job.
-I know needs of the airforce come first, but how likely is it that i could stay at fairchild my whole career?(other than TDY and deployments of course. My family is from the area and my wife and I would like to start and a family there.
- Can you go reserve in SERE and stay at fairchild?
- Do crosstrainees get the reenlistment bonus after finishing techschool, or would you have to wait until the next 4 year enlistment?
-Finnally, at this point in my enlistment, am I still eligable to crosstrain? 4 years DOS is 5SEP09 . If so, who in my unit would be the best person to talk to in order to get the ball rolling?
