just curious as to how bad it really is. I've heard of people being beaten and finger/hands being broken. just how much of that is true? I'm interested in becoming a SERE trainer and want to have some kind of idea of what im getting into. Thanks in advance

It is a good, challanging course. You will learn alot about your self and others. The training that is put on at the Survival School is top notch, professional training. All the training is supervised by many adult professional military personal. They are there to mentor you and ensure that the training is as realistic and professional as possible. The instructors are not going to break anyones limbs/digits. The training is done in remote wilderness location and there is risk of injury or death due the nature of the training. Everyone at the survival school is extermely focused on safety.
If you have an opurtunity to become a Survival Instructor I would strongly recomend it. It is some of the best training you will receive!

Thanks in advance That is not the USAF Sere course, "broken digits" would be part of the Special Forces SERE program run at Camp Mackall under medical supervision (Small Bones only) during the interrogation phase, it's a shorter intensive program designed specifically for Army Special Forces Units.
