Anyone know if USAF SERE Instructors have the opportunity to attend other Service SERE schools? Or if other Service personnel attend the USAF school?
Thanks in advance.

I didn't ever see it happen. I do know a lot of guys that are now working as contractors at the schools in San Diego, Maine, Bragg, Rucker, etc. though.

Interesting.
I wonder why this doesn't happen more. I'm sure the coursework is similar, but given the joint environment of--at the very least--special operators, if not the aircrew-types, I would tend to think that these schools would be much more on line with each other than they are.
Or that the instructors at each would be interested in attending adjacent schools.
Is there any relationship at all, even unofficially, between instructors at the various branch schools? Other than subsequent contractor work.

No relationship really. From my understanding all of the level C schools are governed by the same EAI, so the course content should be fairly similar. I believe Rucker was stood up using Fairchild as a model, not sure of the others.

Awesome. Thanks.
I also understood that Rucker's gig mirrored Fairchild's...pilots and all.

I just read through the EAI today and it applies to all service Level A-Level C schools. So, ultimately the terminal learning objectives are the same.

I have talked to people who have been through the army and marine schools and done some research of my own. The terminal objectives are the same but how each service decides to meet those objectives is quite different. You have to think of who they are training. And that the air force has the only SERE Specialists so we do it better. Not just special duty slots.
