How often do contract companies (TATE, SERE Solutions Inc, etc.) hire personnel? Are they always seeking qualified specialist, or do they fill these positions quickly? What else is available for SERE personnel when they leave the AF if the contract spots are filled? And I'm talking SERE related ("not you can do anything when you get out: lawyer, doctor, etc..."). Thanks for any and all assistance.

The contracting companies hire on an as needed basis. Not constantly, but fairly frequently. Do a search on Indeed.com for SERE and you will find some of the other companies that hire away from Fairchild like ASC, NEK, Lockheed, and General Dynamics. Currently usajobs.gov has a bunch of "SERE-centric" jobs open in you do a zip code search for 99011 and just look for ads posted under AFPC (Program Manager, Instructor Supervisor, etc)
