I am wondering how exactly I go about joining sere specialist training, starting from first joining the air force to any time requirements training etc. that I would have to undergo to become a sere specialist. If someone could map out the process for me it would be much appreciated

First thing is to pass your PAST test before you even leave for basic. Do a little more legwork and stop being lazy. You can find 99% of your answer on the internet by searching.

First sorry about that I did realize that the information I was looking for was on the internet after I posted this. So to clarify, where and how would I take the PAST? Would the recruiter take me to the local base? Or would I test some other way? Second how long is the wait before going off to basic? Do I go a few weeks after signing up or is it a few months?

Spencer,
First go to a recruiter and get the guaranteed job for 1t0x1 AFSC. Then your recruiter will set you up with a PAST test, make sure you are training for all aspects as well as rucking! You will then you will get a date for basic which varies, and during your wait don't be lazy, keep up on your training. Hope this helps.
