What are the regulations and rules regarding owning a firearm while in the Air Force? I like to hunt and I'd like to be able to do so while enlisted. How does it work, if it does at all, when you live on base, off base, etc?

you can own weapons while in the air force. as many as you want. but if you live on base you have to store them at the base armory. this is not a good idea because i have heard stories of security forces taking out other peoples weapons to fire with out permission. if you live off base you can do what every you want with your weapons.

Some bases may have different rules about firearms. While I was at Fairchild I had many guns in base housing, they were in a locked safe so they were fine, also you must register all weapons on base.

I know here @ Luke you have to register it with Security forces and cannot have any firearms in your home.

You are authorized to store weapons in base housing at Andersen.
